The LCIF is thrilled to welcome Noushin Ahmadpour as our LCIF Imaging Specialist! Noushin completed her master’s with Dr. Jillian Stobart, College of Pharmacy, University of Manitoba. Her thesis focused on calcium imaging of neurons and astrocytes in awake animals. She gained extensive expertise in multiphoton microscopy and image processing through her research using MATLAB toolboxes and other image processing software.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LCIF, a Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS) Core Platform (https://umanitoba.ca/health-sciences/research/supporting-research#core-facilities), Noushin is available to provide extensive training for new users and assistance with experimental design and advanced analysis procedures.
