We’re super excited to reveal the outcomes of our very first LCIF Image Contest – 2023! This contest initiates a series of annual image contests, aimed at spotlighting the awe-inspiring microscopic images born from the incredible research happening within our facility. A big thank you to everyone who contributed their fantastic work, making this contest a reality. So, without any more suspense, let’s meet the winners of the LCIF Image Contest 2023:

This is an image of Alzheimer’s mouse model brain cortex. Pericytes (ensheathing and capillary) are labelled using CD13 marker (blue); endothelium labelled using CD31 marker (red) and astrocytes are labelled using GFAP marker (cyan).

This image depicts an astrocyte (anti-GFAP, red) labeled with Lck-GCaMP6f (anti-GFP) and being surrounded by neurons (anti-NeuN). The co-localization of GFP and GFAP (and not NeuN) can be observed.
