Azar graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She then joined the MSc program in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics under the supervision of Dr. Jun-Feng Wang, where she investigated the role of thioredoxin-interacting proteins in corticosterone-impaired neurite outgrowth. During her studies, she received prestigious awards, including the International Graduate Student Entrance Scholarship (IGSES) in 2022 and the Faculty of Graduate Studies Research Completion Scholarship in 2024.
